CSP HEADQUARTERS

The CSP’s headquarters are located in Racine (Wisconsin), within the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. From the Community’s headquarters in the US, various key aspects of the CSP’s life and the activities carried out by its members in the different countries where they are present are coordinated. Various social awareness and fundraising initiatives are also carried out in the US, mainly through the non-profit organisation “Community of Saint Paul, Inc.”

The CSP house in Wisconsin is home to several priests from the Community, who work in various parishes within the same Archdiocese.

PARISH MINISTRY

The pastoral work of the CSP in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee focuses on the parishes where the priests who are members of the Community carry out their pastoral work. These are the parishes of St Leo the Great (Racine), St Adalbert (Milwaukee), St Martin de Porres (Milwaukee), St Rose of Lima (Milwaukee), All Saints (Milwaukee), St Michael (Milwaukee), St Patrick (Whitewater), St James (Mukwonago), St Peter (East Troy) and St Teresa (Eagle).

Several of these parish communities are made up of populations consisting mainly of migrants. St Adalbert’s is situated in the heart of Milwaukee’s Hispanic neighbourhood; St Martin de Porres and All Saints serve the city’s African-American Catholic community; St Michael’s, meanwhile, is made up of various groups of migrants from South-East Asia.

Sacred Heart Parish (Racine). This community has around 1,250 members and a school with 240 pupils. In addition to the usual sacramental and pastoral duties, a course on Sacred Scripture is held there, attended by 50 people twice a month, and a ministry of faith groups (similar to base communities) is organised, in which 50 parishioners also take part, divided into five different groups.

San Juan Pablo II (Milwaukee). The parish is situated in the southern part of the city of Milwaukee. It is a parish of Polish origin, which now has a Hispanic majority. It is a bilingual parish with 1,700 registered families. It has a school with 290 pupils. The parish offers preparation for the sacraments, liturgical services, marriage and women’s groups, and a monthly food bank for families in need.
